Fan Club History
The Randall “Randy” Franks Fan Club had its origins in the grassroots support of fans who followed his youth group The Peachtree Pickers ®. Its first name was The Peachtree Picker Fan Club and membership cost $1. Members received and autographed photo, membership card, “The Pickin’ Post” or “The Singing Post” newsletters featuring the group’s activities, and bi-annual mailings highlighting events throughout the region. Pearl Bruce served as the club president from its inception. The structure of the club was mirrored upon the advice of Jean Osborn, Jim and Jesse Fan Club president. The club grew to service a mailing list of more than 8,000 music fans rivaling some of the largest in country music at the time. The club became a member of the International Fan Club Organization adhering to its standards and always maintaining Gold Star status through its more than 25 year history. As Randall’s career entered his solo phase, the club name was changed. With the passing of Pearl Bruce, Randall’s mother, the duties of president were taken over by his brother Jerry Robinson, Sr. The club continues to provide a membership card, autographed photo, newsletters and special offers for its fans who pay a annual membership fee.
